CARTER FLOYD
PROTOTYPES
All of the prototypes featured in this section were made for the Game 136 course at Johnson County Community college.
Each prototype was made in a few weeks with a given theme.
Prototype 1:

The theme for this first prototype was "Clicker Game".
The design was a very basic clicker game where you assemble a space station. There is a mechanic where clicking the button increases a multiplier for the passive money gain based on the spin speed. The main focus was designing a system where the space station parts are randomly placed onto the overall space station.
The above GIF showcases the end result.
You can try out the prototype yourself at: https://coelus.itch.io/prototype-1

All of the visual assets were CC 0 except for the upgrade images which I made myself.
Prototype 2:

The theme for this second prototype was "Kaiju".
The design I went with was a strategy-lite game. You are a Kaiju that is destroying all the factories on a world scale. There are two phases to the game. The first is a stealth phase and the second is a destruction phase.
The above GIF showcases the end result for the first phase.

All of the visual assets were CC 0. The music is from Incompetech.
Prototype 3:

The theme for this third prototype was "Hope".
The design I went with was an old school text adventure. The main focus was implementing a bold way to read and navigate through a story.
The above GIF showcases the end result.
